Okay, time so some new Journal.
I had an... interesting talk with Kain-Moerder, a pretty much talented and great artist. Some of you will know his art, I'm sure.
Well, be as it is, we aren't the same opinion in many things. Nothing of that belongs to that journal. This is for all who commented some of his recent journals.
FAR more interesting was the question he threw up in one of them:
Where is it still Art, and at which point starts porn?
I am not here to see porn. I could use many, many other websites for that, and I know, you know which I mean. No need to name them.
Nudity and Art are close together since... centuries, at least. And the differences are pretty small.
I think it is Art, when a girl in japanese bondage sits on her knees, half in shadows, the head bowed to the ground, looking up to the camera. If it is made right, it IS Art.
It is not art, if some other woman has her breast bound so tight, that they grow blue and purple, she looks in the picture, tongs out or something like that. This, my friends, is porn.
Weights on genitals? Pretty much porn. A closeup to genitals? Porn in the very meaning of the word.
The term erotica is often abused by people uploading their kinks and pornographic stuff, claiming it as art. There is NO Art in just photographing someone nude, semi-erect or else. It is not artistic to upload macros of feet, yet other think so.
And please, just running such pictures through instagram, smashing some simple filters over them, is NOT an artistic move.
I am an amateur myself. i got erotic pictures in my galleries, my faves. And there is just ONE which I would claim pornographic, because someone drew one of my OC's.
And NONE of them is simply pornographic. I don't like these pornpictures here. Others may call them artistic, artistic nude maybe. But they are cheap, idealess and not very artistic.
